HOW TO PREPARE FOR PHYSICS PAPER II

Studying physics in advance level might be challenging for most people especially if they don’t have a good foundation and a good teacher but it is possible to top physics with an A+ if you are willing to. Physics is very important for those that are interested in studying Engineering after advanced level so it is important to know what to focus on to boost your rain.
Physics paper II is, up to, 40-55% depending on how agreed upon so it is not something to minimize for any reason. You can do this and I will show you how to get the best within the last moments.

Physics paper II is, divided into 3 sessions of 30-20-30 marks respectively.
  • Session I = multiple topics including the first question which is always a homogenous equation, can include electricity, capacitors and a session of choose one question for 15 marks etc.
  • Session II = graphs
  • Session III = choose and answer two questions.

Now that we know how it is, divided, let us see how we can crush this subject as fast as possible.

If you study graphs for two days, you will be able to master everything and grab the 20 marks that is, offered for it. Once you are, done learning it, use 3 days to plot graphs (from past questions) during break or free time without disrupting your studying timetable.

After obtaining your 20 marks from graph, move to session III, choose two sectors from there, and study it to your fingertips. For example, you can choose medical physics and electronics and you do not have to study other parts of this session if you have not finished studying physics. Once you have this in your brain, you are sure that you already have 50 marks already.

You have successfully had 50 marks already so let us go and grab the other points. You can at this point, study the topics you love such as capacitors, electricity, magnetism, electrostatics etc.
N.B: at least two fields often come so you can study these fields and you are sure that you can answer two more questions. After studying and revising the topics you understand, you can then move to study other parts that you have not understood yet.
At this point, we are both sure that you have 80% of paper 2 and you are able to answer some questions in paper I.

If you have a question or a strategy that can help others, you can share it with us on the comment session below. Thank you for readying and we both know that you are the best.
